Graduate Student Organization

We have listed some topics that may be relevant to graduate students.  This list is evolving and suggestions for useful topics are welcomed.

Child care:

    -Child Care Vouchers- This program is run through Student Life and provides a limited amount of financial assistance for costs accrued while children are attending registered childcare providers.  There are eligibility requirements and you are responsible for turning in paperwork on a regular basis over the semester to receive funds you have been awarded. Apply as soon as possible to ensure you are eligible for consideration for reimbursement of some of your daycare costs.  

    -Child Care Centers in Flagstaff

    -In-home child care providers-If you are interested in in-home daycare check the         Classifieds in the AZ Daily Sun as providers often advertise there. 

Health Services:

    -Fronske Health Center/Medical Insurance

    -NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic-The NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic can provide students with a variety of oral health services. Please follow the link or contact the department directly at 523-5122 to schedule an appointment or inquire about fees.

Professional Development:

    -The Faculty Development Program offers a Graduate Teaching Assistant development series throughout the academic year as well as a list of sources that may be useful to teaching assistants.  Check their page for more information about these seminars and resources.

Online Training: The following sites or departments may offer online training for graduate students to fulfill their departmental or research training requirements.

    -FERPA Tutorial

    -Regulatory Compliance

Transportation:

    -The Transportation Service Center website provides information about university vehicle reservations and necessary training classes. For information on campus parking policies and bus service go to the Parking Services home page.

Housing:

    -There are some on campus housing options for graduate students but most reside off campus.  We are working on compiling a list of options for off campus housing but if you are interested in on campus opportunities visit the Residence Life website.
